This Privacy Policy explains how Fluora Inc., a Delaware corporation (“UbudAI”, “Fluora”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use the UbudAI service at ubudai.organd through our WhatsApp assistant (together, the “Service”). UbudAI is an AI-powered travel concierge that helps you discover events, fitness classes, and gatherings in and around Ubud, Bali, by answering your questions in natural language.
We are committed to handling personal data in accordance with the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and other applicable data protection laws.
1. Who we are (Data Controller)
The data controller responsible for your personal data is Fluora Inc., a Delaware corporation located at 1875 Mission St. Ste 103 #440, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA. For any privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact us at contact@fluora.ai.
2. The personal data we collect
a. Information you provide
- WhatsApp identifiers — your WhatsApp phone number and public profile name when you message us.
- Message content— the questions, prompts, and any information you choose to share with the assistant (for example, the kinds of events or classes you're looking for, dates, or preferences).
- Contact details — any email address or other contact information you voluntarily provide.
b. Information collected automatically
- Usage and interaction data — logs of your queries and our responses, timestamps, and conversation context used to operate and improve the Service.
- Technical data — limited device, network, and diagnostic information generated when you visit the website or message the assistant.
c. Publicly available event information
To power the Service, we collect and aggregate event, class, and venue information from publicly available sources across Ubud (such as public websites, listings, and social pages). This information is primarily about businesses and activities, but it may occasionally include personal data of organizers, instructors, or hosts (for example, a name or public contact detail). We process this data to make it searchable through natural-language queries. If you are an organizer and wish to have your information corrected or removed, see Section 8.
3. How we use your data and our legal bases
- To provide the Service — answering your questions and surfacing relevant events and classes. Legal basis: performance of a contract / taking steps at your request.
- To communicate with you — responding to your WhatsApp messages and requests. Legal basis: consent and/or legitimate interests.
- To maintain, secure, and improve the Service — including reviewing queries to improve answer quality and reliability. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- To aggregate public event information — building and maintaining our searchable database of Ubud activities. Legal basis: legitimate interests in operating the Service.
- To comply with the law — meeting legal and regulatory obligations. Legal basis: legal obligation.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time by messaging us “STOP” on WhatsApp or emailing contact@fluora.ai. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal.
4. AI processing and service providers
UbudAI uses third-party providers to operate the Service. These act as our processors or independent controllers and may include:
- Messaging — WhatsApp / Meta Platforms, to deliver and receive messages (subject to their own privacy terms).
- AI / language model providers — to interpret your questions and generate responses. Your query content may be sent to these providers solely to produce an answer.
- Hosting and infrastructure — including Vercel Inc., which hosts our website.
We require our processors to protect personal data and to use it only as instructed by us.
5. International data transfers
We and our providers may process personal data in countries outside the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or your home country, including the United States. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
6. Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Conversation logs are retained for a limited period to operate, secure, and improve the Service, after which they are deleted or anonymized, unless a longer retention period is required by law. You may request earlier deletion as described below.
7. Your rights under the GDPR
If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
